When Joe Pasquesi and his wife Ann talk about how they began to build their plumbing company 34 years ago, they absolutely glow with pride. Like many companies, Pasquesi Plumbing was started on a shoestring budget, but with integrity and a commitment to provide quality service with a smile.
Thirty four years ago, Joe announced to relatives and friends that he was forming a new plumbing company and asked that they tell their friends and relatives that he was available. The telephone started ringing immediately where Ann had to set-up the office in a small corner of their kitchen. If a part was needed for a job that was not in stock, Joe would "borrow" it from his own home, sometimes leaving the family home without hot water until the part was replaced.
Today, things have changed considerably.
Pasquesi Plumbing is located at 3218 Skokie Valley Road in Highland Park. One thing has not changed, and that is the respect that Joe and Ann Pasquesi have for the people and companies who hire them. Joe explains, "I tell all of our plumbers to do each job as if they were doing it in their homes. Be neat, clean and waste no time - and they do! Most of our employees have been with us for many years."
Appointed by former governor Jim Thompson, Joe spent more than six years on the Plumbing Advisory Board for the State of Illinois. Additionally, he has established long working relationships with the village and state inspectors.
Today nearly all of their business is referred to them by customers and village zoning offices in the towns along the North Shore. Joe and Ann's three sons represent and work for the company that their parents worked hard to achieve.
